Strurtevant Falls, Chantry Flats - Arcadia, CA

Well traveled road follows the river up canyon.

 

Strurtevant Falls is a 3 1/2 mile roundtrip walk from the Chantry Flats trailhead. The trail is well travelled with many cabins along the way. Still a very pleasant walk during a weekday.

The initial decent is 500 ft which makes for a vigorous ascent on the return trip. We actually encountered a 5 pack mule train on the way back - the only way to bring in construction materials and supplies
