The walk from the park entrace (the tree above) to the peak (left) is around 3.2 miles roundtrip with 1100 ft elevation gain. The trail upto the saddle is very sandy, but from the saddle up its solid ground.
Doesn't look like much here, but on a clear day the 360 degree view from the peak offers a near religious experience.

Directions: From the San Fernando Valley, take I-5 north, merge onto SR-144 ( Antelope Valley Freeway), exit Pearblossom Highway and continue east to the Four Points intersection. Go straight (east) onto Avenue T, turn left onto 87th Street East which transitions into 90th Street East. Turn right on East Palmdale Blvd, turn left onto 170th Street East. Head north past Avenue M until the park entrance (approximately Avenue K). About 1 hr 20 min from the valley.
